Newton Police Department

• Sue A. McPherren, 56, of Newton, is charged with driving while barred after authorities pulled her over at 12:51 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of West Third Street South. McPherren made several attempted to lose the officer before being pulled over because she knew she was not to be driving. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Stacy L. Suttek, 43, is charged with public intoxication after authorities were called at 11:14 p.m. Monday to 821 S. 12th Ave. E. Officers were called about an unwanted person and made contact with Suttek. She had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. She admitted she was intoxicated. Officers walked her to a friend’s house and told her to stay there. Officers were called back to the residence because Suttek had returned. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

• Justina L. Wiltsie-Pender, 26, of Newton, is charged with driving while license denied after authorities pulled her over at 6:38 p.m. Saturday at 3981 Highway F48. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Bradley J. Berkenbosch, 25, of Newton, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after authorities were called at 7:10 p.m. Friday to the 9600 block of Highway 6 East. Officers saw a vehicle without registration and while speaking with Berkenbosch could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. His hands were also shaking, and he was very talkative. Officers found three grams of marijuana and a scale in the vehicle. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
