PSG finding Midwest home in Newton

Raleigh, N.C. based PSG Geiger has expanded to the Midwest by opening a new location in Newton. The new office is the promotional products distributor’s first location in Iowa.

“Iowa was a natural choice to bring our experience in branding solutions to a region with many companies in the industries which we serve,” PSG Geiger Owner Scott Youmans said. “Newton offers a rich talent pool of individuals with the experience to help us better support our customers and current teams in our Raleigh headquarters.”

The office, 205 First Ave. W., is led by Stephanie Hobbs, a senior sourcing and merchandising manager, who as been with PSG Geiger for eight years. Along with Hobbs, the office has two full-time employees, a dedicated sales partner and an experienced marketing professional, which the company is looking to hire locally.

The company decided to open the Newton location to better serve a growing client base in the Midwest region. The office will provide local support to area businesses and draw from the talent in the region.

“Our employees here in town have had a work at home program previously and it is nice to actually have an office where we can all work together, see each other and be collaborative,” Hobbs said.

PSG Geiger is a part of the Geiger family of companies, the largest privately owned and operated distributor in the promotional industry in the United States. Geiger was founded in 1878 and produces the well-known Farmer’s Almanac. Geiger is based in Lewiston, Maine.
