• Aaron J. Johnson, 18, of Sully, is charged with possession of controlled substance after authorities pulled him over at 1:59 a.m. Wednesday to 700 N. 19th Ave. E. Officers made contact with Johnson and smelled a strong odor of marijuana. While searching the vehicle, officers found a pill bottle with no prescription. He was cited and released to appear.

• A 17-year-old juvenile is charged with two counts of possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities pulled over a vehicle he was traveling in at 1:59 a.m. Wednesday to 700 N. 19th Ave. E. Officers found a backpack near the juvenile with methamphetamine in it along with two pills and two pipes. He was cited and released to appear.

• Mackenize L. Carter, 21, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities pulled over a vehicle she was traveling in at 1:59 a.m. Wednesday to 700 N. 19th Ave. E. Officers found a bag near Carter’s feet that had an elastic band with a needle. Carter admitted to using the needle for methamphetamine and that the bag was hers. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Brandon L. Jones, 20, of Reasnor, is charged with operating while under the influence, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities pulled him over at 1 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of South Eighth Avenue West. Officers saw Jones had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled of marijuana. While searching the vehicle, officers found 6.4 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Isaiah A. Herdt, 19, of Newton, is charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities pulled over a vehicle he was traveling at 1 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of West Ninth Street South. Officers smelled marijuana in the vehicle. Herdt was traveling in the vehicle and handed the officers a box with a marijuana in it. Small bags of marijuana were also found in the vehicle along with a grinder.

• Heidi C. Wiley, 30, of Grinnell, is charged with driving while license under suspension after authorities pulled her over at 11:21 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 80. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
