As our times change, so do our needs. I feel that it is extremely important for everyone to exercise their right to vote, especially our local primary on June 7. For many years, I have been involved in the election process. I have raised my kids to be involved as much as possible as they are impacted by our votes on many different levels.
With that being said, I feel that it is time for changes in Jasper County. We need a State Representative that will support the needs of our community. We need someone who will listen to everyone, and every concern, and will form a reasonable plan to be able to address those needs. For the future of our kids and our community, we need someone who will support our school system, as well as address the major need for mental health resources in our community. We also need a person that will address the need to staff our prisons, which have progressively gotten worse over the years.
Wes Breckenridge will do just that. He has seen firsthand as a law enforcement officer the impact that mental health issues can have on families, communities and schools. He understands the needs of our educations system. And he knows from years of experience how important it is for the prisons to be adequately staffed. I have already exercised my right to vote, by voting absentee. I now ask that you join me in supporting Wes Breckenridge for Iowa House District 29.
