As your State Representative, I want to thank the people of Jasper County for giving me the honor of serving as your legislator. We’ve done some great things — together. We’ve made clean water and the environment a priority. We’ve created clean, “green” jobs, here in Newton that can’t be shipped overseas. We’ve made sure Iowa’s veterans are always respected, and that their sacrifices are remembered.
The last six years have seen Iowa recover from the recession. We’re leading the country in renewable energy. Our quality of life is among the best in the country.
So, there are things we should be proud of. I’m asking once again for your support, in the upcoming Democratic primary, because we aren’t done, and we don’t stop. So, I believe Iowa’s schools can once again be the best in the country. I believe every Iowan is entitled to equality under the law. I believe all Iowans deserve access to health care and mental health services. I believe working men and women in Jasper County deserve a fair and living wage. And I believe Iowa’s comeback should belong to all of us.
I’m proud of the progressive work we’ve done. I will always work for you. I respectfully ask for your vote on June 7.
