Kelley is a friend, champion

On a cold winter day in January this year, I walked into our state’s capitol to talk to legislators about policy for the Iowa Wind Energy Industry. As soon as I make it to the third floor of the Capitol, I am greeted by the warm smile and big hand shake from Dan Kelley, State Representative from Newton. Dan has always been an outgoing person, looking to learn more about what wind energy needs in Iowa to keep the industry growing and creating more jobs. He has seen what happens to a community when a big manufacturers leave town and how a community can recover when new ones come in to fill the old manufacturing plant.

Trinity Structural Steel and TPI Composites have seen growth and new opportunity by locating in Newton. They have been growing and helping the surrounding communities because of the growth of the wind industry in Iowa. That growth is helped along by good legislative policy that Dan Kelley has consistently supported. Dan understands that the wind industry in Iowa is a huge opportunity and wants to see it continue to grow and help his community grow and prosper.

Dan Kelley is the right person to represent Iowans in District 29. He listens, he cares, and he goes to work for you. Every time I have reached out to Dan, he was ready and willing to help in any way he could. I want to continue to see Dan Kelley every time I go to Des Moines to work on policy for the wind industry.

We have seen billions of dollars of growth in Iowa from the wind industry and it is helped along because representatives like Dan Kelley are willing to step up and give the wind industry a voice in Des Moines.
