I know Wes Breckenridge, and have since he was a boy growing up in Monroe. I’ve always had the highest respect for him.
Wes Breckenridge is a proven leader. He has shown leadership in Newton in community service in addition to public service as a police and DARE officer. Wes has had influence on many young people in this work against drug and substance abuse, and has carried on the example of the late Paul Bell as an outstanding DARE officer.
I am unaware of anyone who dislikes Wes Breckenridge, and am very pleased he is willing to spend the time and effort to expand his public service by seeking to represent a portion of Jasper County in the House of Representatives. With the current stagnation we see in the legislature, Wes has the ability to work in bringing people together. The current House has its problems, and Wes Breckenridge’s leadership is needed to work across party lines for the well being of Iowans.
Continuing to do what we’ve done in the past is ridiculous. It is time for a new face and vigorous approach to represent the citizens in House District 29. I believe Wes Breckenridge can and will do the job to make us proud of our State Representative.
