Breckenridge is committed to the district

I am writing a letter in support of Wes Breckenridge for State Representative. I believe that Wes has a good idea of the needs of the people in District 29. The example he has set as a leader is testament to his commitment to our community. In his current position, he has had the opportunity so see firsthand where were at as a community. He knows first hand the day to day issues the average person has.

I live in Newton now, and have been a Jasper County resident since 1988. I would like to elect someone who knows the impact of certain economic changes, and how that affects the community. Good paying jobs are a must to help our community thrive. How we spend revenue has a lasting impact that needs to be taken seriously. I have taken the opportunity to meet Wes and to listen to his plan. I am confident that Wes is concerned about all of us as a community. I am certain that he can look at the big picture and make a decision that is good for his district and not an added burden to the people who live in it.

Conflict resolution is a day-to-day tool that I’m sure Wes has to use. Finding a middle ground in various situations is part of his job. A characteristic that will serve him well as a state representative. The outcome of certain things don’t always go the way I like. I am sure that as a representative, Wes will make sure our issues and concerns are heard. I like the idea that I have the opportunity to elect a person who will go to the mat for what he knows is right. As a public servant he has given of himself in various capacities — all in love for his family, community and the great state of Iowa. I see no other choice for state representative for District 29.
