28 rail cars derailed in eastern Iowa

SABULA — Authorities say 28 full coal cars have derailed in eastern Iowa.

Canadian Pacific says the accident occurred around 8 p.m. Sunday about five miles south of Sabula. The railroad says no injuries have been reported and says the coal train was not carrying any dangerous goods. Spokesman Andy Cummings said Monday that the train consisted of 116 cars and three locomotives.

Cummings says the cleanup and repairs are underway.
