Keep a fighter for education

Having been in education for almost 40 years, I have seen many trials and tribulations that education has faced. Sadly, those trials and tribulations have not gone away. Education is consistently underfunded, causing teacher layoffs and school closings, which of course, has a negative impact on our students and communities.

We constantly hear from the governor that education is a priority, but, when push comes to shove (meaning supplying adequate funding), it is blatantly obvious that is not the case. That’s why we must keep Dan Kelley working for education and educators, as our representative.

In his six years as representative, Dan has always made education a top priority, fighting for stable, adequate funding for schools, the expansion of early childhood education and keeping higher education affordable. Anytime I have contacted Dan with concerns about education, he was always willing to listen and I’m confident that he addressed those concerns in the legislature.

I urge my fellow educators to support Rep. Dan Kelley on June 7, so he can continue the fight for education.
