In an oversight, Area Prep State Track Meet Schedule in Tuesday’s Newton Daily News, area athletes competing in events on Saturday were omitted.
Three girls’ sprint medley relay teams run in a timed final at 9 a.m. Saturday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
Those relay teams are Newton’s Liz McVey, So., Alex Hutchinson, Sr., Leela Spencer, Sr. Sydney Jenkins, Sr. in Class 3A and CMB’s Megan Ritter, Jr., Shasta Moody, Fr., Toni Spencer, sr., Bridget Hurley, Sr., and PCM’s Morgan Uhlenhopp, Fr., Emily Miller, So., Emily Hugen, Sr., Rachel Stafford, Jr., in Class 2A.
Colfax-Mingo junior Dakota Hostetter runs in two events on Saturday. She competes in the 1A 800-meter run at 9:50 a.m. and the 1A 1,500 at 2:15 p.m.
PCM’s Stafford runs in the 2A 800, while Lynnville-Sully’s Corey McCoy takes part in the boys 1A 800 at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
