Go and Do: Richardson Run 5K

The Richardson Run Memorial 5K is named after Newton Police Officer, Lt. Patrick Richardson, who died on Sept. 1, 2013, after suffering a heart attack while on his morning run. Prizes awarded for first male and female finisher and age group winners. Following the run, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, 2300 Law Center Drive, is hosting an open house. Check out the sheriff’s office historical display and enjoy light refreshments in the lobby with local officers from 10 a.m. to noon.
