STATE CENTER — Junior Caleb Van Zante finished in a tie for fifth place overall, but the Collins-Maxwell/Baxter boys golf team was fifth in a five-team tournament Thursday at Lincoln Valley Golf Course.
The Raiders shot a 215 overall. Van Zante’s nine-hole round needed 44 shots, which tied with West Marshall junior varsity golfer Conley Petermeier for fifth overall.
BCLUW won the meet with a 174, while West Marshall shot a 177 in second.
The Trojans’ JV team shot a 194, while BCLUW’s junior varsity carded a 199.
Brevin Johnston shot a 49 for CMB.
The other two counting scores were Ricky White’s 60 and Nate Bishop’s 62. Austin Good shot a non-counting score of 64.
The Raiders host North Polk at 4 p.m. Monday.
