Signs of Spring ‘Wild Walk’

A family woodland hike will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve.

Katie Cantu, naturalist with Jasper County Conservation Board, will lead the walk that is open to the public. Participants will look for spring wildflowers and discover wildlife under logs and among the treetops.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes; a camera may be desirable. This program is free and for all ages.

Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve can be reached by taking exit 179 north off Interstate 80, turn east on the gravel road Jacob Avenue, and continuing for about a mile. The walk will begin at the west entrance to the preserve near the large lake at Ahrens Access.

The walk will be canceled in the event of rain. Please check www.jaspercountyconservation.com for updates.
