DES MOINES — Authorities say a 17-year-old boy has been killed by gunfire in Des Moines.
Police say officers were dispatched around 4:50 p.m. Wednesday after receiving reports about gunshots. The first officer to arrive at the scene found the wounded boy in an alley behind a house. He died later at a hospital. His name hasn’t been released. Police Sgt. Paul Parizek said several witnesses provided descriptions of a suspect. No arrest has been reported.
