COLFAX — Two birdies and two pars helped Colfax-Mingo’s Mason Mosher run away from his competition during a South Iowa Cedar League golf meet Tuesday at Colfax Country Club.
Mosher carded a 41, won medalist honors by seven shots and led the Tigerhawks to a team win over English Valleys.
The Tigerhawks shot a 194, while the Bears carded a 205.
Ahren Teed finished second behind Mosher with a 50, while Jacob Buehrer (51) and Jonathan Jacobs (52) had the other counting scores. Zevin Lander shot a 58 and Wyatt Smith carded a 66 in his first varsity meet of the season.
Three Colfax-Mingo girls played Tuesday. Delaney Underwood finished in a tie for second with a 58, Camilla Schlasser had a 78 and Jasmine Riley carded an 81.
The C-M golfers play at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at Iowa Valley.
