The Racial Justice Working Group of Jasper County will be meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Congregational United Church of Christ, 308 E. Second St. N., Newton.
The purpose of the group is to promote racial harmony and justice in Jasper County through story sharing, education and addressing institutional and systemic racism.
The focus of this meeting will be to continue work on developing a survey to be distributed community-wide and a public forum in order to connect with the greater Newton and Jasper County community to learn the needs of the community the group could address through its purpose.
All those interested in promoting racial harmony and justice in Jasper County are encouraged to join together as the group continues to identify meaningful opportunities for its work.
