Get to know Breckenridge

I am supporting Wes Breckenridge for State Representative. Although I didn’t know Wes well, I did know he had been with the Newton Police Department for years.

When I read he was seeking this office, I knew he had been a school resource officer, a Drug Task Force officer, a DARE instructor and had risen to the rank of lieutenant. I know he is currently working with Newton Says No to Human Trafficking, a local social action committee.

In the fall of 2012, I attended the Citizens Police Academy, a 12-week course for community people. Lt. Breckenridge was the primary instructor. His presentations were interesting, informative, professionally presented, with a bit of humor. I was so glad I had attended the Police Academy. During this time, I got to know Wes as a professional, as someone with real interest in the community.

Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know Wes better. I’ve met some of his family. He is proud of his family. He has been active in his children’s activities. He especially enjoyed a YMCA triathlon he and his family did together.

Wes wishes to talk with anyone about issues of interest. He is a good listener.

It is clear to me that by the love he has for his family, his energy and contributions he has given to community activities, and his dedication to the Newton Police Department, Wes will be a great State Representative.

As I began, I am supporting Wes Breckenridge for State Representative for District 29. I encourage you to get to know Wes to support him also.
