Ronald G. Vander Putte

Ronald G. “Ron” Vander Putte, 76, of rural Newton, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at the Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the funeral home. The family will greet friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14 at the funeral home with a coffee time. Burial will be at the Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society; memorials may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add, Attn: Vander Putte Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Ron’s memory are his brother, Don Vander Putte of Newton; nieces and nephews, Teresa Brumer of Baxter, Rick Vander Putte, Jay Vander Putte and Sonja Vander Putte, all of Newton; and his many friends including his close friends, Barb Wilson and Connie Wilcox, both of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and close friend, Connie Innis.
