• Meet the Barnstormers will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Montana Mikes, 1400 W. 18th St. S. in Newton. Join the Iowa Barnstormers and help raise money for the NPD’s new K9 unit. Meet the players and coaching staff and enjoy great meal deals with 25 percent of all sales are donated to the cause.

• Berg Middle School Drama Production of “Comic Book Artist” will begin at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday at Newton Senior High. Twenty-seven youth are participating from the middle school. The show will bring the incredibly popular comic book genre to life with this hilarious action-packed superhero saga. Admission is free.

• Masonic Breakfast will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday at Preston Masonic Lodge, 407 W. Second St. in Prairie City.
