• Joshua S. Richardson, 26, of Newton, is charged with violation of no contact/protective order after authorities were called at 10:44 p.m. Thursday to the 900 block of East 12th Street North. Officers were called after Richardson went to the residence of the victim and was found inside. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Thomas L. Green, 34, of Newton, is charged with possession of controlled substance, operating while under the influence after authorities pulled him over at 4:27 p.m. Thursday at 300 Iowa Speedway Drive. Officers pulled Green over and could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. He also had blood shot, watery eyes. Green admitted to smoking three blunts of marijuana 20 minutes prior to being pulled over and also admitted to having marijuana in his pants. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Gregory D. Woods, 42, of Newton, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance after authorities pulled over a vehicle he was traveling in at 4:27 p.m. Thursday at 300 Iowa Speedway Drive. Woods admitted to having marijuana in his hat and book bag as well as a grinder with residue on it. There was also a jar of marijuana found under his seat. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Linda M. Sufficool, 67, of Colfax, is charged with operating while under the influence after authorities arrived on scene at 12:05 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 1500 block of Highway 117 South. Officers were called and found Sufficool lost control of her vehicle and hit two road signs before going in the ditch. Officers could smell alcohol coming from her, and she admitted she had drank three glasses of wine. She had slow, slurred speech and a preliminary BAC of .117. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Malik Z. Osborne, 18, of Cedar Rapids, is charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of contraband in correctional institute after authorities pulled him over at 5 a.m. Friday at mile marker 176 on Interstate 80. Officers could smell alcohol coming from Osborne, and he admitted to drinking earlier that night. He had watery eyes and delayed responses. After being transported to the jail, officers found two prescription pills on him which were not his. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
