The executive director of the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce has resigned.
Craig Light, who has served the role for two years, submitted his resignation to the board of directors effective Friday as he plans to move on to other endeavors, according to board chair Frank Buckley.
“Craig has worked with many of our local business partners and community agencies over the past couple of years,” Buckley said. “Our entire board appreciates what Craig has done and wish him nothing but the very best in the future.”
The search for an executive director will begin this week, Buckley said. Anyone interested in applying for the position should stop by the chamber office or call 641-792-5545.
