Ronnie D. McMains, 72, of Newton, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016, at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service was Monday, Feb. 1 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Memorials in Ronnie’s name may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. If mailing, please add, “Attn: McMains Family” on the envelope.

Those left to honor Ronnie’s memory include his wife, Judy of Newton; children: Denisa McMains, David McMains, Ronnie McMains II, Ronda McMains of Ankeny, and Robbie (Marjorie) McMains of Des Moines; his step-children, Tammy Smith of Newton and Dennis Hansen of Kellogg; 26 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and his sister, Judy McMains of Des Moines.
