DAVENPORT — A Davenport man has been given up to 15 years in prison for the shooting death of an Illinois resident.
Justin McGowan, 28, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and a weapons charge in the death of Gerald Housley, of Rock Island, Illinois. Prosecutors lowered the charge in exchange for McGowan’s pleas. Authorities say the 28-year-old Housley was shot in the head Aug. 2.
