Newton hosts SCICDA honor choir

A selected group of Newton High School freshman students will participate in the freshman South Central Iowa Choral Directors Association Honor Choir at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Newton High School Center for Performance. Newton High School will host the South Central Iowa Choral Directors Association freshman honor choir at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Newton High School Center for Performance.

The district traditionally holds tenth through twelfth grade honor choirs. This will be the first ninth grade SCICDA honor choir.

The choir will be directed by Waldorf College Director of Choral Activities Brett Robison.

Cost is $5 for adults or senior citizens and $3 for students. Since this is an ICDA sponsored event, conference passes will not be honored.
