Team Iowa takes 2nd in national tourney

In November, three Newton boys combined — Austin Brady, Evan Grimm and Zayvier Arguello — combined with boys from across the state to play on the 12-and-Under Team Iowa football team. Team Iowa advanced out of the NUC Rising Stars Plains Regional football tournament to the national football tournament in December in Las Vegas, Nev. Brady and Arguello made the trip to the national tournament, helping Team Iowa beat Nevada and California to reach the championship game. Team Iowa lost to Colorado in the title contest.
