Colorado State ends UNI’s home-court streak

CEDAR FALLS (AP) — John Gillon, Joe De Ciman and Gian Clavell scored 16 points apiece and Colorado State beat Northern Iowa 84-78 on Saturday.

Antwan Scott added 12 points and Emmanuel Omogbo 11 in the season opener.

The victory ended the Panthers’ 18-game home-court winning streak, which was the 12th-longest active streak in the country. Northern Iowa came in 21-0 in November at McLeod Center.

Junior Jeremy Morgan led Northern Iowa with 20 points, senior Wes Washpun had 19 and junior Matt Bohannon 17.
