Phyllis Cozad Pennell

Phyllis Cozad Pennell, 84, of Chesterfield Mo., passed in her sleep Oct. 25, 2015.

Phyllis, who struggled with Alzheimer’s, joins her parents, Hazel and Cleland Cozad; brother, Jack Cozad; and cousin, Shirley Buckley. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Robert (Bob); her three children, Dr. Richard Pennell (Chris), Debra Palmer (Pat) and Robert Pennell (Anne); eight grandchildren, Jason, Ryan, Jennifer, Christopher, PJ, Lauren, Kathryn and Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Tamara, Corinne and Kylie.

Family was very important to Phyllis and she felt truly blessed that all her children lived in St. Louis. She loved spending time with her family and was the ultimate hostess. Phyllis would drop everything without hesitation to help others. She was a vibrant loving wife, mother and friend.

A service celebrating her life took place Saturday, Nov. 7 at Salem-in-Ladue United Methodist Church in St. Louis, Mo. Donations to Alzheimers Association are appreciated at 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132 or www.alz.org.
