Newton Police Department
• Randi Hamilton, 33, of Newton, was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear after authorities were called at 9:47 a.m. Friday to 1207 Monroe Drive. She was also charged with two counts of second-degree theft and driving while license under suspension after an auto theft in June. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
• Kyle D. Short, 26, of Colfax, was arrested on two warrants for domestic assault after authorities were called at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday to 115 N. Second Ave. E. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
