Newton Police Department

• Joshua M. Hilsenbeck, 28, of Newton, is charged with driving while license suspended after authorities pulled him over at 1:25 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of South Fifth Avenue East. He was cited and released to appear.

• Andrea M. Perkins, 36, of Newton, is charged with driving while license suspended after authorities pulled her over at 10:10 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Fourth Street South. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Dustin V. Smith, 18, of Newton, was arrested on a Jasper County Sheriff’s warrant after authorities were called at 10:15 a.m. Monday to the adult probation office. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Christy J. Clark, 29, of Newton, is charged with interference with official acts after authorities were called at 1 p.m. Oct. 27 to 904 E. 12th St. N. Officers were assisting the DHS when Clark advised multiple case works and officers that the subject they were looking for did not live at the residence, and she had never lived there. Officers later spoke with the subject who said that she had lived there for more than two weeks and that Clark knew she was inside and was deliberately trying to get DHS and officers away from her property. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
