This is a letter in support of Mayor Mike Hansen. Mike has been involved with our Newton community as an elected official for more than 10 years. He first ran for city council in 2001, taking office in 2002. He was appointed mayor pro tem in 2005, then appointed mayor in 2012 and went on to win the election in 2012. He has served us well in many facets and demands of this position. No one has been more supportive of the Get to Know Newton campaign and has worked so diligently to help build and keep a positive outlook. He has been involved not just locally but also statewide.
So let’s keep moving our community forward and vote for Mike Hansen for mayor on Nov. 3.
