Donna White and Greg Simmons of Newton, announce the birth of their daughter, Laynie Marie Simmons, born Oct. 9, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She weighed 10 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 22 inches. Laynie joins siblings Autyme Simmons, 11, Alissa Simmons, 8, and Canen Simmons, 2.
Grandparents are Nancy White, of Kellogg, Ken White, of Newton, and Roger and Melissa Woods, of Knoxville.
Great-grandparents are Donald Binegar, of Kellogg, Peggy Sanders, of Kellogg, Leatha Smith, of Oskaloosa, Kenneth Simmons, of Knoxville, and Deloris and Gary Peterson, of Mt. Vernon.
