• Frank E. Jones, 64, of Hearne, Texas is charged with operating while under the influence, open container and driving with no valid license after authorities were called to 4222 S. 22nd Ave. E. at 11:45 p.m. Sept. 26. Officers were called about an accident and when they arrived found Jones standing in the lobby of Boulder’s Inn. Officers had Jones lead them to his vehicle, which was the same one in the accident. Officers saw a vodka bottle in the rear of the truck. He had bloodshot, watery eyes and smelled of alcohol. He admitted to drinking two beers that night. He had a BAC of .108. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• John J. Noga, 31, of Newton, is charged with driving while barred after authorities pulled him over in the 800 block of East 12th Street Place North at 11:09 p.m. Wednesday. Officers saw a truck fail to completely stop at a stop sign and pulled it over. The officer found that Noga had his license banned. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• A 15-year-old juvenile is charged with possession/purchase alcohol by person under 18 after authorities were called to Maytag Park at 8:34 p.m. Oct. 2. Officers were patrolling the park and saw two juveniles smoking cigarettes. They spoke with the boys and found they were also drinking alcohol. The juvenile admitted to drinking “jungle-juice” with whiskey in it. He was cited and released to appear.

• A 14-year-old juvenile is charged with possession/purchase alcohol by person under 18 after authorities were called to Maytag Park at 8:34 p.m. Oct. 2. Officers were patrolling the park and saw two juveniles smoking cigarettes. They spoke with the boys and found they were also drinking alcohol. The juvenile admitted to drinking “jungle-juice” with whiskey in it. He was cited and released to appear.

• A 16-year-old juvenile is charged with assault after authorities were called to Basics and Beyond at 8 a.m. Sept. 30. Officers were called to a fight where the juvenile is accused of punching a victim. She was cited and released to appear.

• A 13-year-old juvenile is charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief after authorities were called to Berg Middle School at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 28. Officers were called about damage to a vehicle with red permanent marker. The vehicle was parked at the YMCA when it was damaged. The juvenile admitted to writing on the vehicle but claimed it was not permanent. He tried to remove the market but was unable to get it off. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $69. He was cited and released to appear.
