Barbara Hanna, 63, of Colfax, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Barbara was born April 13, 1952, in Newton, to Vern and Mary Ruth Hanna. She was a 1970 graduate of Colfax High School. Barbara worked at Maytag for 35 years. She had most recently worked at Colfax-Mingo High School as a teacher assistant.
She is survived by her brothers, Michael Hanna of Colfax and Pat Hanna of Louisiana; three nieces, Ashley Lafferty and her dad, Jamie of Colfax, Elizabeth Jones of Newton and Samantha Smith of Colfax; and nephew, Jason Hanna of Newton.
Barbara’s wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held.
