BROOKLYN — Newton High’s junior varsity volleyball team went 1-2 in pool play at Saturday’s BGM junior varsity tournament.
The Cardinals lost to South Tama, 21-9, 21-15, and to Clear Creek-Amana, 21-19, 21-8. They finished with a 21-17, 21-15 victory over BGM.
“We need to learn to play like we know how no matter who we are playing,” Newton junior varsity coach Kristina McNew said. “We need to do the little things and finish strong in each set and complete the match that way.”
