MASON CITY — A November trial has been scheduled for a 42-year-old man accused of assaulting his wife as she held their 7-year-old child on church steps in northern Iowa.
Ryan Pals has pleaded not guilty in Cerro Gordo County District Court to felony domestic abuse assault and misdemeanor child endangerment. His trial is set to begin on Nov. 10. Authorities say Pals attacked his wife during an argument over child custody on Aug. 30.
