Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host the Holy Trinity and St. Andrew’s Lutheran, of Sully, monthly Bible study at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, 1409 S. Eighth Ave. E. in Newton.
The church will also host the advent study “Learning Luke: The Apostolic Gospel” beginning at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at the church in Newton. The group will be taught and presented during advent by David Tiede.
Beginning Nov. 29, the First Sunday in Advent, the Sunday morning scripture readings for the coming church year will focus on the Gospel of Luke.
A light supper will be offered as some participants will be coming directly to the study from work.
