Ruby the Red Panda Visit
Ruby, the Reading Red Panda from the Blank Park Zoo will visit at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 1. Children ages 2 to 5 are invited to this special story time, and must be pre-registered (limit of 25). Ruby is a special reading red panda from the zoo and will bring three animal friends for children to meet. Children will listen to stories, meet the animals and do an activity. Register by calling the library at 641-792-4108 or sign-up at the library.
Henna Tattoo History & How-To
Learn the history and art of Henna at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 12. Participants will see a demonstration by Henna Tattoo Artist Sarah Norman, receive a Henna tattoo, and practice the art of Henna themselves. Register at the Information Desk or by calling 641-792-4108, only open to the first 20 reservations. Open to adults only.
IPART: Paranormal Investigators
Get your spook in before Halloween at 6 p.m. on Oct. 15. Iowa Paranormal Advanced Research Team will be at the library to present findings on haunted houses and businesses they have investigated in the past. Stop in to see photos, videos and more. The team will also discuss the technology they use to investigate. Open to all ages.
LEGO Donations
Youth Service Librarian Phyllis Peters is looking to add a Lego playtime but is in desperate need of LEGOs. If you have any you would be willing to donate, please drop them off at the library. Thank you.
