Auto shop owner convicted of first-degree murder

WATERLOO — An auto shop owner in Waterloo has been convicted of first-degree murder in the 2014 shooting death of a man. A jury returned a guilty verdict Wednesday in the case of 44-year-old Anthony Tronca. Tronca was accused of shooting 44-year-old Ronald Randall in the shop in September 2014. His body was found days later in a rural area. An autopsy showed he died of several gunshot wounds. Defense attorneys argued during trial that prosecutors depended on testimony from unreliable witnesses.
