Jay E. Marlowe

Jay E. Marlowe, 84, of Newton, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton. A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The service will be officiated by Jay’s son, the Rev. Patrick Marlowe. The family will greet friends from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the funeral home. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.

Memorials to Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home, please add, Attn: Marlowe Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Jay’s memory are his four sons, Micheal Marlowe of Monroe, Dan Marlowe of Texas, Patrick (Janet) Marlowe of Wichita, Kan., and Alan (Michelle) Marlowe of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., six grandchildren, Justin, Jennifer, Marissa, James, Malory and Nathan; his two great-grandchildren, Presley and Gregory; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharon in 1975; grandson, Christopher in 1975; and sister, Mary Magdaleine Marlowe.
