• Thanks with Franks will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday on the Jasper County Courthouse lawn in Newton. This event is a fun, family-friendly event designed for your business to say “thank you” to the community.

• Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.

• Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at noon Friday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newton.

• Battlefield of the Mind women’s study will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Hephzibah House in Newton.

• Penny Bingo will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Jasper County Senior Citizens Center, 702 E. Third St. S. in Newton.

• Live music will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek State Park in Kellogg. The featured band will be Lisa Blommers and Craig Schwartz, located next to the boat dock and concession stand. Freewill offering for the band.

• Farmers Market will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Garden Square Park in Prairie City.

• Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newton.

• Peer Support for those living with mental illness will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Optimae Life Services, 1730 First Ave. E. in Newton.

• Bowlful of Blues will begin at noon Saturday at the Maytag Bowl at Maytag Park, in Newton. Featured bands include: Bob Pace and the Dangerous band, Del “Saxman” Jones and Final Mix, Lamont Cranston Band and James Biehn Band. Rob Lumbard and Matt Woods will play between sets. Tickets are available online at southskunkblues.org. Reverend Raven begins at 7 p.m.

• Hillary Clinton will make a campaign stop at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Uncle Nancy’s, 114 N. Second Ave. W. in Newton. Clinton be discussing her ideas for the economy. Doors will open at 1:45 p.m.

• Narcotics Anonymous will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 223 E. Fourth St. N. in Newton.
