Beverly J. Frahm, 89, of Newton, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Skiff Medical Center. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4 at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Memorials to Cornerstone Bible Fellowship or the donor’s choice may be left at the church or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Beverly, the daughter of Earle and Bertha (Pitcock) Staker, was born March 21, 1926, in Colfax. She grew up in Mingo, and graduated from Mingo High School in 1943. Beverly was a country school teacher for more than five years. On May 30, 1948, Beverly was united in marriage with Louis Frahm in Davenport. They made their home on a farm northeast of Newton, where Beverly was a homemaker and worked hard as a farmer’s wife. Louis and Beverly moved from the farm into town in 1978. She was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship and liked to write letters and send cards. She also enjoyed studying the Bible and collecting cardinal items.

Those left to honor Beverly’s memory are her daughter, Nancy (John) Kelting of Waterloo; daughter-in-law, Connie Frahm of Newton; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-great-grandchildren; her many nieces and nephews, including her nephews, Don (Karen) Staker of Ames, Gerald Frahm of Hemet, Calif., and Eldon Morris of Conway, Ark.; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis on Dec. 1, 2003; son, Kelvin Frahm on Aug. 1, 2015; her brothers, Eldon and Pete Staker; brother-in-law, Robert Frahm; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Morris.
