OPEN welcomes new student

OPEN members and friends welcomed its newest student Vlada Osadcha with a poluck Sunday at First Lutheran Church in Newton. Osadcha arrived in Des Moines Aug. 19 and will be enrolled as a junior at Newton High School. She will be staying with the Smiths for the first semester and the Thorpes for the second.
