On Sept. 11, the Fire Department will be having its Annual Memorial Service in remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001. This is the 14th anniversary of the date that changed the lives of Americans forever.
This year, the Newton Fire Department is partnering with Newton’s final Thunder Nites Bike Night on the courthouse square.
A short memorial service will be held at the Firefighters Memorial starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by a short processional parade of emergency vehicles to the square.
