CEDAR RAPIDS — Cedar Rapids officials have decided to wait a few more months before opening a time capsule that had been missing.
The capsule was buried in 1976 in Greene Square Park. Officials weren’t sure where it was placed and had asked construction workers to keep their eyes out for it as they turned the park into what will be rechristened Greene Square. The concrete-encased capsule has now been found, close to the center of the park.
