• Live Music will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Rock Creek State Park, 5627 Rock Creek E. St. in Kellogg, featuring band of Jeff and Nancy Beals. Concert is located next to the boat dock and concession stand. Freewill offering for the band.

• Peer Support for those living with mental illness will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Optimae Life Services, 1730 First Ave. E. in Newton.

• Blessing of backpacks and bookbags will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Newton.

• Ice Cream Social and Music in the Park will begin at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethany Church, 5627 N. 95th Ave. W. in Baxter. Meal of pulled chicken or pork, hot dogs, German or American potato salad, baked beans and homemade pie and ice cream. Featuring the “mTunes” at 6:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy.
