Catherine Cavegn

Catherine Cavegn, 45, of Grinnell and formerly of Colfax, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at her home.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colfax. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A reception will be at the church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the memorials may be designated to the Catherine L. Cavegn Memorial Fund, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, IA 50112. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family online at www.smithfh.com.

Catherine’s memory will be cherished by her daughters, Brandie Wood, Tia Burton and Crystal Cavegn, all of Grinnell; two granddaughters, Aleigha and Landon Wood of Grinnell, with one granddaughter on the way, Nova Catherine Raphael; her mother, Dianne Wood of Mingo; and her siblings, Mike (Shelly) Wood of Colfax and Michelle (Barry) Smith of Mingo. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Wood; husband, Jason Cavegn; and great-great-aunt, Livinia Holland.
