We will have card games in the library meeting room at 6 p.m. Monday. This night is open to all adults and all card skill levels.

Freegal Music now allows five free song downloads a week. These songs are yours to keep and all you need is a library card. Go to www.freegalmusic.com to download music today. Find today's newest hits along with hits from the past. Songs are MP3 and iTunes compatible.
Email due date
reminders
Avoid fines by signing up for email due date reminders. Receive alerts about items coming due in three days. In the library catalog (www.newton.lib.ia.us, click on Catalog), go to: My Account and choose Email Change Request. Type in your email next to New Email Address: and your library card number (no spaces) next to My ID is: Click on Send.
Renew items online
Avoid calling the library by renewing your items online through our catalog. In the library catalog (www.newton.lib.ia.us, click on Catalog), go to: My Account and Review My Account. Log in by typing your library card number (no spaces) next to User ID, then click on Display User Information. In your account, click on Checkouts and checkmark items you want to renew by clicking in the box to the left of each title. When done, click on Renew Selected Items.
Tablet help
Having trouble with the changes from Wilbor to Bridges? Drop in from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 2 in the library meeting room to learn how to download eBooks and audiobooks through Bridges onto your mobile phone or tablet. No registration is needed. Bring your device and library card with you.
Professional development book club
Join us at noon on Oct. 7 at Uncle Nancy’s to discuss “7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change” by Stephen R. Covey. To receive a copy of the book, call the information desk at 641-792-4108. This book club is open to all adults.
