Lindee A. Thenhaus

Lindee Autumn Thenhaus, 32, of Newton, the daughter of Paul Anthony and Kelley Liann (Thenhaus) Mattingly, was born Jan. 28, 1983, in Newton. She graduated from the Newton Senior High School, Class of 2000, and Des Moines Area Community College as a certified welder.

Lindee enjoyed life, was employed as a certified welder and part time instructor at DMACC. Lindee loved spending time with family and friends.

Lindee died Thursday morning, Aug. 6, 2015, in Newton. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather William A. Mattingly; paternal grandparents, Glen and Bev Dickerson; and maternal grandparents, Verna and Richard Thenhaus; and step-grandmother Beverly Thenhaus. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to honor Lindee’s memory include her sons, Hunter Northey and Sawyer Northey; her daughter Rayne Northey; her parents, Paul and Kelley Mattingly; her brothers, Tim and Travis Mattingly; her half-brothers, Jason and Jeff Dickerson; paternal grandmother Joan Mattingly; her biological father, Doug Dickerson; and her many good friends.

A celebration of life for Lindee will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., prior to a time of remembrance. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Lindee’s family, in her name.
