Kelvin Ray Frahm

Kelvin Ray Frahm died on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. He was born on Oct. 14, 1953 in Marshalltown to Louis and Beverly (Staker) Frahm. He grew up on a farm north of Newton.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 7 at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. The family will greet friends following the service with a lunch at the church. A private family burial will be held at a later date at St. John’s Cemetery. Memorials to the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship or the Taylor Hospice House may be left at the church or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.

Kelvin was married to Connie Ruple on July 24, 1982 in Kellogg. He worked at the Maytag Dairy Farm and later at Midwest Manufacturing and for the Newton Community School District. Kelvin was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Fellowship and a past member of the Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisherman.

Those left to honor Kelvin’s memory are his wife, Connie Frahm of Newton; mother, Beverly Frahm of Newton; his sister, Nancy (John) Kelting of Waterloo; mother-in-law, Bessie Rawlins of Newton; his three step-children, Mickie (Julie) Ruple of Newton, Michael Ruple of Newton, and Michele Robinson of Gilman; six step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Frahm and father-in-law, Dwight Rawlins, Sr.
